I have a iPHONE 5 and charge it on my laptop which has Windows 7. As soon as i plug in i get the below shown image pop-up
Where is the setting to disable this pop-up

Most probably, your phone is not only charging but also act as a second media storage. This occurs when you opt to sync with your laptop. When you insert the charger in the laptop, select the option for “charge only” on your iPhone.

I think this is normal because the Autoplay feature in Microsoft Windows is enabled though it is automatically disabled by default on all removable drives such as the floppy disk drive and network drives. But if your device has a virtual CD-ROM like in most 3G wireless mobile broadband USB modem, the computer will still Autoplay the drive.
It is also normal for a window to popup every time you connect a device like iPad, iPhone, or maybe iPod touch because it automatically finds it way on the pictures stored on the device. But you can still disable this window from appearing in Microsoft Windows. For Windows Vista and Windows 7, follow these instructions.
To disable the popup window, connect your device to the computer first. Click Start, Control Panel, Hardware and Sound. Select AutoPlay then scroll down to Devices section. You should find your device in the list. Click the dropdown menu opposite your device then select “Take no action” and then click Save. See image.

This will now fix your problem. From now on, you will no longer see that window from popping up every time you connect your iPhone 5.
