What does the file link layer in the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) ideal source use for? File link layer has been seen above the physical layer; however, it is under the network layer and how the key-based cryptography can ensure the validity of file changed over the network?

When using Open Systems Interconnection (OSI)

File link layer is being used to confirm the file linkage with any other process or the host itself. It is mostly used to see if any other use is using the file so before the user opens it at the physical level it will not allow him to open the file or will issue a warning.

About the key cryptography, it will ensure the security and confidentiality of the file information that no one has messed with the previously owned information in the file

Many users all over the world tend to modify the file according to their own need and then save it over the server. This can mislead other users who use or access the file afterwards.
