Hi people!
I recently updated BT Versatility Firmware using my personal computer and things are just fine. Out of curiosity and for expanding my knowledge, I would like to know where the BT Versatility Firmware files are stored whenever an update is effected. This is borne from a similar curiosity of what happens when PC BIOS are updated. Thanks in advance for your prompt response.
Where are BT Versatility Firmware files stored after updates?
The BT Versatility’s firmware is stored in a memory facility within the device. The memory is non-volatile, meaning that memory within the device will be retained even if it’s not turned on. The software that you use on your PC updates the software installed in said memory facility, putting in new features and fixing known bugs. As you can see, it’s quite similar to what happens in a PC BIOS update.
Where are BT Versatility Firmware files stored after updates?
Generally firmware is a combination of persistent memory and software installed on it, this memory embedded into the device hardware we can also call it as erasable programmable read only memory (EPROM), so your BT Versatility firmware act as the same as BIOS but in computer BIOS we also have CMOS that needs battery to save the data on it.
