Where to find animated progress file of Windows 8?

Hello everyone,

I am looking on my Windows directory on files that has animated progress in Windows 8. This is anew circle for newer Windows version. I found some on my old Windows XP and saved those AVI and GIF files which I can use for my programming tasks and web development. However, these animated progress in Windows 8 is very stylish that is why I am having a hard time on finding it. Can someone please help me on this?

Where to find animated progress file of Windows 8?

Hi John,

All Windows cursor icons are stored with filename ending with .cur. There are a couple of different ways in which you can search for this file:

1. Run a file search for all files ending in .cur. The search term should be *.cur
2. Open a new explorer window or go to My Computer > Local Disk or C > Windows > Cursors. You should be able to find what you need in this folder
