Which is better? LIGHTROOM or PHOTOSHOP?

What other photo editing software can you suggest other than ADOBE PHOTOSHOP? What are the main difference of Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop in terms of usability and quality? Which is more User Friendly between the two? All replies will be highly appreciated! Thanks!

Light Room has complete data management solution. It is used to add keywords, Provide an efficient way to process 1000 images. Metadata can be added in batches based upon the photographer's need. It process the Raw files and give full control to photographer over JPEG, TIFF, DNG image files.

In LR, Background can not be changed,

Photoshop is the higher-level editing / finishing tool for more specialized need. Both (PS and LR) constitute a complete image processing system. Photoshop is the best with its elements. its Interface and user friendly environment provides the photographer a fair and compact platform to process images. Photoshop elements do all what you need.
