Which EBI to select for purchase?

Hello, I am looking for an External Bus Interface (EBI) and I was hoping for recommendations on products.  This will be my first time purchasing an EBI and I am hoping someone has some reviews for me.  I was potentially looking at Freescale Semiconductor but any advice or recommendation would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Which EBI to select for purchase?

External Bus Interface(EBI) is a data bus which provides interfacing of external peripheral devices and components like flash memory with the computer. External Bus Interface reduces the system pins and for that system cost comes down.

 

There are mainly two manufacturer for the External Bus Interface. One is Barco and another is Freescale Semiconductor. Freescale semiconductor manufacture various types of EBI. This offers a range of FlexRay communication controller, which can be interfaced with MCU. MPC5500 can be interfaced to the MFR4310.

 

In the freescale semiconductor website, there are many document regarding the external bus interface. Go through some of those documents before purchasing.
