Hi techyv experts,

I am finding some problems in formatting my system, as not able to do the partition on disks. Can anyone help me in finding any hard disk low level format tool so that I can easily format my system with the help of that tool.

Hi,

First I would like to whether you are formatting entire hard and installing new OS.

If yes, then formatting instructions will depend upon which OS you are installing.

If windows 7 while installing it will show to options Advance and Custom you have to click on Custom and follow the instructions.

If you are installing Windows XP then read the instruction carefully. So you can format the drive easily.

Hi Dear,

There are many tools that perform Low Level Format actions. In simple format, we can rearrange the block to store data by erasing all of the data. When Low Level Format runs, it creates all sectors and tracks, and applies them to the file system that we want to use.

I suggest you use Maxtor’s Low Level Formatter. It works better than the rest. It is very easy to use. You can download it from the link below.

You can use Active@ KillDisk software to format your hard drive. It is very easy to use.

Just go to this link and it will automatically download. This software has good features.

You will get both Windows and DOS versions.
