Hi,
I'm using Windows XP for three years now. I noticed that the features in Windows 7 are quite good as compared to XP but I also heard a lot of negative comments about Windows 7 like its not user friendly, spy ware is not good, etc. Can anyone give me a good comparison of the two OS? Thank you.
Which one is better Windows XP or Windows 7
I use Windows XP in my desktop while Windows 7 on my laptop. Windows 7 is much accessible and is easy to use in data retrieval.
Here are some comparisons of the two OS:
FEATURES |
WINDOWSÂ XP |
WINDOWS 7 |
Taskbar |
When viewing the tabs, you need to point and click the mouse before it appears. |
You can pin your commonly used icons on the taskbar and you can view the tabs just by pointing the mouse. |
Data Retrieval |
Some of the hidden files are not detected by the Search Window.
You need to type the exact file name before the result appears.
|
Hidden files are detected easily.
Even just a keyword of the file name is typed, results already appear.
|
Clicks |
It takes double clicks or more before a window opens. |
A single click is enough to open a window. |
Desktop |
There are limited feature in customizing your desktop. |
Gadgets (calendar, clock, currency, weather, feed headlines, etc.) are available. |
Power Saver |
Takes a couple of minutes to sleep/log off. |
Sleeps/log offs faster than the XP to extend the battery life. |
