I know that Mac Mini supports Apt-X Bluetooth for audio transfer but what about iPhone 4S and 2010 Macbook Pro? Do they also use this technology? Has anyone here in this forum had any previous experiences of using it? How was it?
Which one supports Apt-X Bluetooth technology
iPhone 4S does not support aptX technology, neither does the 2010 Macbook Pro. Although there is conflicting data on this issue and there are stories on the Internet about a "secret way" to activate aptX on Apple technology, the general consensus is that there are no known legitimate ways of doing so. This is in line with Apple's philosophy of refusing to include new standards into their devices. AptX Bluetooth codec does in fact provide for a better sound, with clean highs and lows but it does not do wonders. The quality of the audio itself and the headphones is still the determining factor.
