Which software can I use to open Max pcx files?

Hallo Guys! Someone sent me several images in pcx file formats but I have not been able to open them for viewing. I have tried several applications including Photoshop but all seem not to work. How can I open Mac pcx files? Is there a particular software that is used to create these files? Please help!

Which software can I use to open Max pcx files?

The Max PCX file is a file that contains a one bit black & white image, an 8 bits gray scale image or a 24 bit color image. Max PCX files can be edited with the help of oft wares such as Nuance Omni Page Pro X and Planamesa NeoOffice. After editing them they can open & use. PCX files are outdated version of bitmap image files; they are put into two codes with the help of soft raster image format.
