Hi,
While installing AutoCAD 2012 I received an error message. The screenshot of the error message is as under.
It stopped installation throwing this error message all on a sudden. As per direction of the error message, I tried to deleteProductInformation.pit from the respective directory but failed.
Have you any idea for the issue?
How can I install AutoCAD now?
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Hello there Jhon Anderson,
I have just found a solution for your problem installing AutoCAD 2012.you need to install Dotnet Framework 4 or higher version of it if available before installing AutoCAD. Once you are done installing Dotnet Framework 4,then your AutoCAD will be installed just fine.Hopefully,I helped you with my answer.

This is an unfortunate corruption of your license. Deleting the PIT file and reinstalling should fix it. Pay a visit this Techyv page to get more information.
Issue on installing AutoCAD 2012 64bit versio
While installing AutoCAD 2012 I received an error message.
Autodesk AutoCAD normally throws the error “1: 5 2: adlmPITSetProductInformation failed. 3: 2” during installation and after this, the installation process will not proceed or is halted. The problem is caused by a corrupt “productinformation.pit” file. To fix this, you need to remove the “productinformation.pit” file and restart the installation. Unfortunately, deleting this file is not possible if you have other Autodesk products installed on your computer.
So you can delete the “productinformation.pit” file, you need to remove or uninstall all Autodesk applications from your computer. If you don’t do this, the remaining Autodesk files will not be able to uninstall in the future. So this is required. Once all Autodesk products are removed, delete the PIT file in the following locations depending on your operating system:
-
* C:Documents and settingsAll UsersApplication DataAutodeskADLMProductInformation.pit – for Microsoft Windows XP
-
* C:ProgramDataAutodeskADLMProductInformation.pit – for Microsoft Windows 7
Additionally, check if this folder is present on your computer and delete it:
-
* C:Program FilesCommon FilesAutodesk SharedadlmR1
Finally, restart the installation for Autodesk AutoCAD 2012 and see if this works.
