While playing games, laptop is shutting down itself

Hello everybody,

I am using Sony VAIO Fit Series SVF1421ACXB 14-Inch Pentium Laptop which I bought 6 months back. It was working very well.

But now a days I am facing one issue with this. While I am playing games like WoW Escape, Save my King, etc., the laptop is suddenly shutting down and also GPU is turned to very heat within 10 minutes. Before that it never happened like this. I am using EVGA GeForce GTX480 Graphics Card. I have checked the hard drive, settings, but no use.

Can somebody please suggest me how to fix this issue? Thanks and Regards!

Hello Archie,

Where do you keep your laptop while you play the Games, Generally if you are keeping it on a blanket or on a pillow it will block the vent and your fan might not work, as well as, over the time dust particles clogs the vent and blocks the air flow.

Always use your laptop on a hard surface, better if you can buy and external cooling pad which will serve you both purpose. Also clean you fan and apply thermal paste on your heat sink. That should solve the heating issue of your GPU and CPU.
