While updating AVG Anti-Virus it shows an error message

Hi Experts,

While updating AVG Anti-Virus it shows an error message. It indicates “Update process failed”. I do not find any reason behind the error message. Please have a look at the screenshot attached herewith.

If you know about the message please help me to update it.

Reason: Sorry. you do not have the permission to execute avgupdate.

While updating AVG Anti-Virus it shows an error message

Good day!

Problems with AVG updates are common with Linux. Truth is, it is unnecessary to run an antivirus in Linux unless you are using a server with clients that use Windows. If in case you really need it, you may try this:

Type and run sudo avg update -o in a terminal and try to update it again. If it still does not work, you may try reading the manual. You may access it in the link below.
