Hi,

I have Microsoft Visio 2010 installed on my desktop and I need a Visio tutorial for chemistry.

Topics, I am looking for should include elements, atoms, compounds and periodic table.

I want a detailed and interactive tutorial in MS Visio with neat and clean labelling, shapes and all.

Hi,

There is an application Chemistry 101, I highly recommend. The download link is:

This application has an interactive Periodic Table of the elements, with detailed information and animations of sub-atomic structures. Gives you number of protons, electrons, neutrons, and atomic masses. It also has physical properties: densities, melting points, boiling points.

For the organic compounds, it is required to use hybrid orbital model, hybrid means if your C-C group has for example 1.5 microns, H-H 1.2 microns, C-H hybrid orbital would have 1.38 microns (these are not accurate values).

Therefore, modeling of these compounds is not very straightforward, since hybridized orbitals are used. In order to draw these molecules, there is a specialized software. But, if you need only atomic and subatomic properties of elements, try this application, you will not regret!
