Why am I getting script error when printing from the internet?
Hello Mikey Lipman,
If you have problems printing in Internet Explorer and getting a script error, then your printer driver is outdated, incompatible, or corrupt.
To fix this, follow the steps in the resolution section below.
-
Disconnect, and then reconnect your printer to your PC
-
Unplug the printer's USB cable from your PC.
-
Open Devices and Printers by clicking the Start button , and then, on the Start menu, clicking Devices and Printers.
-
Right-click your printer icon and select Remove device.
-
Reconnect your printer to your PC using the USB cable.
Note:For wireless printers, refer to the information that came with the printer for installation instructions.
If disconnecting, and reconnecting your printer did not solve the issue, update your printer drivers using Windows Update or a drivers software CD, and you will not see this error info again.
Thanks for your question.
Why am I getting script error when printing from the internet?
Scripting error is very common on Microsoft Internet Explorer and this is the browser you are using. If you keep getting this error when printing the same page from a particular website, first, check that your printer is turned on and connected to your computer using the USB cable. Make sure the printer is working properly.
Try doing a test print first using other applications like Microsoft Office Word to verify that the printer is operational. If this doesn’t work and you still get the same error even if you have a working printer, you should try using other browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, SeaMonkey, and others.
