Why are the downloaded PDF files not opening

I have downloaded a planty of PDF files. But, the files are not opening due to some error. Could anyone tell me what would be the possible reasons behind it? Your suggestion/s would be appreciated.

Hi Calenda,

      Before opening a pdf files or downloading it to your computer,

1. Make sure you installed first a program that could read that kind of Files.

• Adobe Reader, or Foxit Reader ( the latest version is available and free just visit the website), these are sample program that could read PDF files.  

        Hope this could help you.

Hallo Calenda,

What kind of reader are you using to open the PDF files? And what is the nature of the error that you are experiencing, what is the response when you try to open the file?

The problem here may be that the document that you are trying to open is not a PDF document. For instance a word document saved with a .doc extension will not open using a PDF reader.

Another thing could be that you are using a very old PDF reader, a case where  I will advice you to look for the latest adobe reader and install it.
