Why autofill is not working in excel?please help

Hi guys, I was completing my work yesterday in excel but was having problems like auto fill was not working it was hanging in every 5 minutes so I thought leaving it for sometime may fix it but even today tge same thing is happening please help me I’m unable to paste furmulas and as its hanging again and again please tell me how to make it work like before.Thanks in advance

Why autofill is not working in excel?please help

Noel,

 

I guess you have MS Office 2010. This issue has been reported for many Excel 2010 users.

 

If you can go to MS office 2011, do it.

 

There are two possible solutions that can help:

 

1. Try to use the right click button of the mouse in the auto fill situations. Sometimes it works.

 

2. Click on Start > All Programs > Run

 

3. Type in:  excel /safe, note the space after excel. Try the Autofill feature now.
