Recently I installed AVG 2012 and since then I can’t browse internet using Google Chrome, but Mozilla Firefox is working just perfect. Why is AVG 2012 blocking chrome? Does anybody know the reason and how to resolve this issue? Any kind of help would be appreciated regarding this.
Why is AVG 2012 blocking Chrome from connecting to web?
hello there bonnie, sometimes it happens in some programs even we are quite sure that the program that we are running is safe. they called it false positive issues. but to solve this problem if you are experiencing chrome being blocked by avg. you can just allow it into your firewall. and add to your whitelist. hope this solution can help your! have a nice day ^_^

Hello Fern
This problem has been experienced by many users and its quite a new problem. Apparently, there areconflicts between Chrome and AVG's Resident Shield or Identity Protection.
If you deactivate those, Chrome should work fine, though it's not recommended. But the developers at AVG are working towards solving this issue and hopefully you may get some solution after some time.
Happy Computing 🙂
