Why am I getting this error: “Connecting device on port 0 fail” when I tried to install Solaris 11.2 on Supermicro 7048- CRT4 server from Live disk? At the beginning of the installation, it looks for devices after which the error: “Connecting device on port 0 fail” message appears and installation usually stale. How do I disable Port 0 in the BIOS?
Why do I Get install error when I tried to install Solaris?
HI!
This warning points out that the USB network device had problem establishing a network connection between the SP and the Oracle Solaris host for exchanging fault information. Regardlessly, the USB device connects successfully a few seconds after the warning messages are displayed. Check the Oracle Solaris /var/adm/messages . If there are not any information given, then reboot the Oracle Solaris host to re-establish the USB connection.
