Why does my keyboard type wrong letters

My laptop keyboard is not typing some letters correctly. Like, it changes  'h' to 'l' and 'a' to 'f'. Couldn't figure out the problem. I use XP SP3.

Why does my keyboard type wrong letters

Hi,

You can try pressing "CTRL AND ALT", sometimes its jut a glitch in the keyboard, if this doesn't help then you should try using your keyboard into another pc, as this problem can be caused by some liquid being spilled unto or even the chip inside the keyboard area becoming malfunctioned.

Sometimes, the driver for your keyboard becomes out dated and you will need to updated, you can easily go to the control panel, click on hardware , click on  device manager, right click on keyboard, and scan for hardware changes you can get the latest driver for your keyboard, if this doesn't help then you purchase a new one.

Hello Cassandra,

There may be something wrong with your keyboard. I recommend you to buy another keyboard. There are just cheap keyboards available in the market.

Maybe that keyboard is has been fully depreciated so I advice you to replace it as soon as possible. I have also experienced that I look for many solutions on how to fix it but still it doesn't.

I have bought a new one and it works.
