Why I can’t get the music to work in windows movie maker?

Why I can’t get the music to work in windows movie maker?

Windows movie maker software doesn't support all extensions of music files so make sure your file is. wma or .mp3 or .wav . If it doesn't work , you can search for windows movie maker and you will be able to download an updated version of it.

Why I can’t get the music to work in windows movie maker?

File m4a cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again. This is an Audio file that i cannot copy to WMM, same problem, crazy stupid, it should not be this hard.
