Why is it it that my antivirus scan won’t scan some files?

Hello Techyv.com!

I want to know some reasons why my AVIRA antivirus scan would skip scanning some files in my PC? I was kinda afraid that those skipped files might have a virus in it already. Thanks

Mr. Jollen B just,

Ant viruses can be customized to scan our desired files.
You can change the setting of virus scanner easily.

Avira Antivirus does not scans .zip, .rar and other compressed files.
The zip and rar formats are compressed files, these compressed files do not include virus.
In other words, a virus cannot attack the compressed file.
So, i hope it is not a big problematic matter.
You can change the scanning options.
Open Avira Antivirus and click on settings.

Choose scanning options and select all file formats.
Click on save settings.
Now Avira will scan all files.
