Hey Robbie Lucas!

When we play heave games on Laptop or we use heavy software, the laptop consumes more power for that game or software. Because laptop has to show you the best result that's why it consumes more power. Basically it's not a problem. It happens with almost every Laptop. But to overcome your problem, there are many ways. You can use a cooling pad. That pad connects with your USB port and you can place it under the Laptop which will continuously spin and will keep your laptop cool. You can use your laptop for heavy games and heavy software.

I hope it will help you in cooling your Laptop.

Thanks

That is normal because of the applications you use on your computer. Your machine tends to become hot because programs like games and the common applications used on the computer requires using the devices installed on the machine like the graphics adapter, processor, sound card, and so on. But the main reason why your laptop is hot is because of your processor and the graphics adapter.

As you use the programs installed on your computer, the processor’s temperature rises. You can check it at the bottom of the laptop and at the surface across the buttons. As the processor processes the programs, the stress it gives to the processor generates heat.

Since the processor has a certain heat threshold, it cannot go beyond its limit because it will overheat causing the machine to instantly turn off. To prevent this from happening, a cooling fan is installed on top of it to alleviate the generated heat and it is a pre-requisite when installing a processor.

But even if a cooling fan operates on its highest speed, you will still feel the heat on the side of the laptop. Another major cause why a laptop is hot is the graphics adapter. When you use applications on your computer, you will notice different heat levels. Common applications like Office Word, Office Excel, ESET Smart Security, Norton Internet Security, and so on, generates normal heat.

This is because they don’t use much of the graphics adapter. They only use it normally for displaying their interfaces which normally have fewer graphics. But if you play games, it generates heat much faster and much higher that common applications because they utilize intensively the graphics adapter primarily for displaying high resolution graphic images.

Since you are using a laptop, to help lower down the temperature of the machine, you can use a cooling pad such as Cooler Master NotePal X-Slim from Newegg.

Hi

The temperature on the laptop is brought about by the applications you used. Usually, when you play a video game that has excellent graphics, it should be expected that the machine will become hot. This is because of the intensive processing of the graphics adapter.
