Hi Blue,

Check if you are logged in as one of the administrator accounts. If not, then you maybe need administrator privileges to run your program.

  • Right click on the program icon and click properties. A window pops up containing few tab in it.
  • Select the Shortcut" tab and look for the "Open file location" button and click it.
  • Once you are in the install folder of your application, look for the executable file and right click on it. Click "Run as Administrator". See if it works.

If not working still, try another one.

  • Click on the start menu.
  • Click Run.
  • Type "taskmgr"
  • This will bring up the Windows Task Manager.
  • Click the "Processes" tab and look for the name of the executable file of your application.
  • Click on the "Applications" tab to check if it's in there.

If you can see it from the task manager then it must be a different thing. Try uninstalling and reinstalling your application.

One reason that I can think of is hardware compatibility. If could be that your video card can’t bring up the application.

If you can't see it then you try the other way.

If you have any anti-virus installed on your PC, disable it for a while and try running your application again.

Some anti-virus blocks execution of program not familiar to them coz they think its harmful to your system.

I hope it helps.

If after clicking an icon to start a game nothing happens, you may be trying to start a program that requires administrative privileges which is not available in your user account level. This only means that your user account type is set to limited and not administrator. Even if it is only a game you are running, there are times it may require an administrator account.

One good example of such a game is Twisty Tracks developed by Mumbo Jumbo. It needs an administrator account to install it like with any other application. When you run it using an administrator account, it will open successfully. But after shifting to another user account that is not an administrator account, it will not start. See image.

Even if you run it as administrator inside a limited account, it still won’t help. The only solution is to run and play it from an administrator account. So, if this is also what’s happening to you, your only way of running the game is from an administrator account.
