Why my Xerox DocuMate 3115 scanner port not working?

I have a Xerox DocuMate 3115 scanner & it is scan both portable & desktop documents. Have docking station with auto doc feeder. It also has portable system. When I try to connect my scanner with a port it not works.

Send a message that say "Port not found". I unplug & plug it again but not work.

Why my Xerox DocuMate 3115 scanner port not working?

You can try these

• Connect the usb cable directly to your pc. (not through a keyboard or a USB hub)
• Connect your scanner to a different port on the back of your computer and see whether it works.
• Did you remove the usb cable while it was scanning, if you did then turn off the power of scanner, restart your computer and turn the power back on and plug in the scanner. Does this resolve the issue.
• Use a different USB cable if you have any

If all the above methods fail you need the help of a technician
