Why the printer is very slow?
There can be plenty of answers as to why your printer is very slow. May be its the drivers, USB ports, or even network or wireless printer issue etc. It can be QUALITY vs SPEED issue too.
It has to be the printer itself – nothing else can affect the speed of the printer. But if your printer is new, then contact your seller and explain, or use a help line to ask customer service for technical help.
You can also check the settings for the printer, the chances are you might have the printer set to photo quality printing which will not only take ages to print but will also use more ink there should be a setting for normal printing.
If your printer is on a network then
Go to the printer front panel
Select TROUBLESHOOTING>SERVICE TOOLS>RESET NVRAM.
Press OK
Let it reset, it will acquire the new IP address and be good to go.
It will require you reset the printer's IP in the Printer Properties menu on each computer on the network.
Lastly if you can tell a little more specification about your printer or the network it will also help me to diagnose the problem.
Why the printer is very slow?
It’s in the nature of the printer to be slow and it depends on the model you have. If the printer is working fine and you don’t see any problem, you don’t need to do anything. If the printer prints documents a little slower, maybe it is the printer’s default speed. Nothing can be done to speed up the printing.
What you can do is just install the latest driver for your printer. You can download it from the manufacturer’s website. You can find the address of the website printed on the printer’s manual or in the packaging. On the website, you can download the driver from the “Support” page.
