Why the restart button of my computer is not working?

The restart button of my computer was working well before some day. But at present the restart button of my computer is not working.

Why the restart button of my computer is not working?

Are you sure that the button is not pushed further inside the casing. First make this sure and see if it is stuck somehow and still pushing it is not doing anything else.

Turn off your PC first and remove the power cord to the system.

Open up the PC case of your system and look for any wire that is going from your Restart button to the motherboard. See if it is de attached from the motherboard.

Usually it's a combination of 4 wires namely

1. RESET
2. HDD LED
3. POWER
4. POWER LED

You have to look for the RESET cable and plug it again. This is the cable that is representing the reset switch on your PC case.

Why the restart button of my computer is not working?

1.      Before opening the side cover or upper cover of CPU, first check the booklet of motherboard to check diagrams of wires.

2.      So check all cables on motherboard are these connected properly.

3.      There may be something in this switch fractured or flow. Try outside the machine pillowcase and wait what happens with it.

4.      Try to check inside part it am sure that it’s a job of frock you action virtually.

5.      Check re-set button’s cable if it is preset in the jack. There are jumpers in your motherboard, power led, resettled, HD led and a jumper for speakers.

6.      Check all connectors.
