Why there is the need for product range

There are so many differences between these two devices, but I think the major difference between two is size and use:
Â
A palmtop is a small computer that can literally fit in the palm of your hands. It is extremely limited compared to full-size computers but they have handy functions such as calendars and phone books. Palmtops that use a pen rather than a keyboard for input are often called hand-held computers or PDAs. Majority of palmtops don’t include disk drives obviously because of its small size. On the other hand, many contain PCMCIA slots in which you can insert disk drives, modems, memory, and other devices.
A laptop is the small version of the regular desktop computer and also has very similar functionalities. The good thing about laptop is portability. You can easily bring it to any location of your house where you can comfortably work unlike the normal desktop computer which is big and has a lot of wires connected to it. A laptop is powered by a battery that’s why it doesn’t need to be connected to the AC outlet every time you’ll be using it. You just need to charge its battery when you see a warning or an alert on the screen informing you of a low battery.
