I just got my newest iPhone 5 and I was so excited about it. While setting up, I connected it through my router so I can use wireless connection. It connected successfully but I got disconnected while in the middle of browsing. I thought that this is just a problem with my connection but I noticed that when I am using my old iPhone 4, it connects without issues. And I can browse without getting disconnected.
This happens on my new phone almost every time now. Is there a way that I can fix this?
Wi-Fi Issue on iPhone 5
Dear Allie,
You're not the only one who has a problem with their iPhone 5 connecting with WiFi. Sad to say, there is still no fix as of this moment. Apple, is not sure what the problem is; They are still wondering whether it is a hardware or software issue.
However, there are reports that other users are able to temporarily solve this issue by changing their router security encryption to a lesser secured one OR fully disabling security encryption in their routers.
I also found this site which claims to have solutions to address this error:

Wi-Fi Issue on iPhone 5
During the time while the iPhone 4 was the latest iPhone on the marketplace, clienteles had little to no problems with their iPhone's Wi-Fi. Nevertheless, the iPhone 5 has been the exact opposite; many customers have reported problems with connecting through Wi-Fi, or very slow Wi-Fi speeds.
However Apple has released iOS 6 updates that have addressed this problem, some users may still experience problems. In this situation my recommendation try switching from WPA2 encryption to WPA or WEP. If the problem continues, downgrade the firmware of your router and also contact Apple support for further information.
