Winamp application error 0x040da76f 0x04112074

I thought Winamp is working perfectly fine but just now whenever I close Winamp this error is always popping up even when I reinstalled it. Please help!

 

winamp.exe – Application Error

The instruction at "0x040da76f" referenced memory at "0x04112074". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program

Hi there,

The problem you have shared is almost with every person who is a new user of Winamp, but its solution is way much easier and short.

 

you just have to go to your C drive, then Program Files and then Winamp/Plugins

 

remove the driver named pmp_p4s.dll

 

now reboot your system and try again.

Hi there user:

You should set-up your monitor to 800×600 at 16bit color.

If your setting is different to what I stated above, then I can conclude you will receive that kind of error more often than the first time.

Wrong settings will cause random errors in Winamp.

My friends, I am pleased with your comments as these solutions are helpful. I have easily solved my error, and at first, I was afraid at what was wrong.

However, after reading Kumay Edwards’s answer and following the instructions, I don’t face anymore error messages.
