Hello all,

Just I have upgraded my Winamp to 5.57 trial version from their website. When I play Winamp, I have faced this error “error compiling ps_2_0 warp shader. Anyone knows how to remove this or what is it?

Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Hey Team Silva!

Well it sounds like you have some registry problem in your computer system. There registry of your windows is broken or damaged. So to overcome the problem I would like to recommend you Tune-up utilities software. That is friendly user software that automatically cleans the broken registry.

You can get this software from the internet. Search for the software and download it. Install it in your windows and run the software. It will completely check your windows registry and will fix it by itself.

After that run your setup for winamp again. Your problem will be solved.

Hello,

Check whether you are getting any kind of error message when you are trying to use "Pixel Shaders".
Mentioned below are some of the solutions you can use to overcome this problem.  

 

1) Override the auto detection, try to force Pixel Shader to model 2 / 1 located in visualization > configure plug-in > more settings. 
 

2) To help troubleshoot error messages and other issues, you can use a "clean boot" process.  It helps eliminating software conflicts.

What's a clean boot? How to perform a clean boo? Where to use a clean boot? such things may bother you. From this supportive link you can clear your doubts. [https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows]

 

Run a clean boot process for the computer and check whether Pixel Shader works now.
 

3) Also you can try downloading and installing the latest version of directX. Might help you sometimes.

Hello Team Silva,

With this kind of error, here are some of the possible solutions that you can use. First, try to upgrade the graphics/display driver. Second, download and install the new version of direct. And last but not the least, this will be tiresome but try to upgrade the presets to pixel shader v4.
