I am currently using Windows 7 on my computer. When I was trying to make a dial-up connection for accessing the internet on my computer, I got the error code 797 on my screen. What is the error? How can it be solved?

Windows 7 Error Code 797on My Computer

It looks like you are trying to connect to the internet using a USB modem. To fix the error, follow the steps below.

1. Terminate all the programs which are running on your computer.
2. Restart explorer.exe
3. Go to the Start Menu
4. In ‘Control Panel,’ open ‘Phone and Modem.’
5. Fill in the necessary credentials like city, country, and numbers. Click OK.
6. Add this modem using the ‘Install New Modem Wizard.’
7. Restart the computer.
8. Try to establish the connection.
