Windows 7 Keyboard Stops Working Randomly

I am currently using a USB mouse and keyboard with my computer. The system has worked for me for several years now. Since yesterday though, Windows 7 keyboard stops working randomly. This is causing a lot of problems. What should I do?

Windows 7 Keyboard Stops Working Randomly

You say that this system has worked for several years now. It is quite normal for old systems to experience such problems. Maybe its a simple case of some dust in the USB port or your keyboard is finally giving up after these many years.

The first thing you can do is to unplug and plug in the keyboard. The second thing you can do is disconnect the power cable for some time. This will remove any auxiliary charge that might have built up in your system. The last thing you can do is update the USB drivers on your computer.
