Windows 7 Samsung usb modem is not working in my computer. I just switch to this new operating system which is windows 7. I am planning to planning to upload pictures from my mobile phone to my computer but suddenly encountered a problem, the computer cannot detect my Samsung usb modem. Give me some ways to resolve the issue, or a step by step troubleshooting instruction will do. Thank you.

Hello Timothy good day and as you said you have recently shifted to Windows 7 Operating system then almost drivers will be available predefined so check your connectivity with Windows 7 and with your USB modem and if both are working fine then there is an option of installing software automatically and manually so connect your system to the internet and click on connect automatically as it will definitely automatically fix this issue after restarting your system when it completes.

If your computer cannot be able to detect your modem then it is possibly due to the following reasons:

  • The USB ports on your computer might be faulty. You can establish that by trying to use the modem on another computer.
  • The modem may be faulty.

You will need to troubleshoot the issues above to be able to use the modem.
