Windows 8 could not be activated

Hi,

I can’t activate my Windows while I get this error during the activation of Windows 8.

I tried to learn the activation process from the control panel but I can’t do anything without your help.

Can you provide me the step by step solution to activate my Window?

I would be greatly appreciated you help.

Windows 8 could not be activated

Below is the steps that exaplined in the article. I'm writing it here just to make sure tha information is available here if website server goes down or the domain expired. 

1. Press 'Window' + 'Q' key directly and type 'cmd' in the search box. 

2. Tap 'Settings' and right click on the command prompt program, choose 'Run as administrator'

3. Enter password if required and press enter to proceed.

4. Type the following commands:

slmgr.vbs /ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

slmgr.vbs /ato

The first command will update the key.

The second command will activate Windows.

Replace XXXX with the product key, rest will remain as it is.
