Hello,
My grand mother owns a very old personal computer.
They bought it in 1998, I think it still is functional. It runs on an Intel Celeron processor.
I wanted to surprise grand ma and let her see that her old PC is working.
Are there still OS that can run on an Intel Celeron? or is Windows 98 still available?
If so, will I have drivers if I still use windows 98?

Windows 98 driver searching problem
Hello Grace,
Good Day!
You’re question is about drivers for Windows 98, Intel Celeron processor if this is compatible to any operating system. This type of processor is rare today but there are still number of computer stores who still sell this product. Unfortunately, Intel Celeron Processor is compatible only if you’re using Windows 98, Windows XP.
There are a number of websites available for software driver downloads. You can go to the Microsoft website and or the manufacturer of that driver and look for that specific available driver.
My advise for you is to upgrade your Operating System to Windows XP, rather than stick with Windows 98. Â It will still work with Windows 98 and will still definitely function.
Your computer must have and meet these requirements.
-
Intel Processor must be at least expanded Memory of RAM.
-
Driver can be downloaded on the Internet, see Microsoft website for available software.
-
And step by step CD installation of driver is fairly understandable but this rare to find but still available.
