Hi, I am posting here an error message that I encounter while running Windows Live Mail, I pasted below the error message screen of the error message to have a clear view of my problem.
Windows cannot find ‘http://www. .cc’. Make sure you typed the name
correctly and then try again.
As I looked on the error and think about it, I am very confused on what to do, the first that came to my minds is a virus attack, so I did a virus scan to my computer, but no virus was found since I am very careful in using my computer, that's all in my mind in solving this issue, please share some solution on my problem, thanks a lot.

Windows cannot find the site
First of all you check that which windows you are using. Is it registered or not? Try to update the previous or the best thing is that uninstall it and download the new and latest version from a good source and make sure that your system supports the latest version. Other thing is that there might be some file corrupt or some virus is there which is resisting the running of your program so try to scan your computer and repair the windows and other files. Do this in normal mode or the best thing is to do it from safe mode.
Or you can try this method too.
Go to…
My Computer>Tools>Folder Option>File Types> Choose the Extension and then choose Advance and open the windows and edit it and look for DDE option and unmark it. And then repeat all the Extensions of Firefox and others. Etc…
Windows cannot find the site
Good Day Ballynolst,
Most of the time I also do think that an error message indicates a virus found. With this case, whenever you click a link or even open a website from Windows Live Mail, an error appears. Don't fret, this is not a threat. Its just a Firefox compatibility issue. I think you should update the version installed in your system. But you can also do some minor fix regarding the problem. This error occurs when Firefox is the default browser and currently not running, as well as Google Toolbar is installed within. Now first we have to edit the registry:
1. Start – Run – Type "regedit" and click OK.
2. Locate: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTFirefoxURLshellopenddeexec
3. On the right hand side, double-click DEFAULT, then an EDIT STRING WINDOW appears.
4. Clear off the Value Data and click OK.
This should do the trick.

Windows cannot find the site
To solve the problem
Follow the instructions :
1. Open Windows Explorer (or My Computer).
2. Go to Tools -> Folder Options -> File Types
3. Select Extension: “(NONE)” File Type: “URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol”
4. Click “Advanced”. In the “Edit File Type” window, select “open” and click “Edit”
5. Uncheck “Use DDE” (the dialog should then hide the lower part).
6. Click OK for that dialog and the next one (afterwards, the “Use DDE” box is still checked but the “DDE Message” box will be cleared, as shown here)
7. Repeat for Extension: “(NONE)” File Type: “URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy” (and any other protocols you want to fix)
8. Repeat for Extension: “(NONE)” File Type: “Firefox URL”
9. Repeat for Extension: “HTM” (or “HTML”) File Type: “Firefox Document”
Thanks.
