I have an application which sends scanned images to a remote server. But my firewall service is blocking it. When I try to configure the windows firewall he error message appears "Windows cannot start the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Services (ICS) service."
I have tried a lot to resolve this problem. But nothing is working right. Please help me out of this.

Windows cannot start ICS service
Your firewall service might not be running correctly. The Internet Connection Sharing or the ICS depends on your Firewall Service runs with dependency on the Microsoft Firewall Service that is why the error occurred.
So solved this issue, repair your operating system. Perform the Microsoft Windows Repair using the original installation disk. Insert your installation disk on your optical drive or DVD ROM then boot on it. Just read the prompt carefully and follow or respond to the instructions.
If you have reach the option to repair your operating system, select repair and let the installation disk to repair your operating system. If you are using Windows XP operating system, you will be redirected on the command prompt to perform the repair. Just type “chkdsk /r” then press enter on the command prompt then the system will repair your operating system and reboot.
The least option is to reformat your computer then install a new clean operating system.
