I have tried installing and re-installing the windows several times but the result does not change, every time I hit the start up button, it shows the motherboard  logo (HP)  and then a black screen shows up saying " error loading operating system" .   How do I solve it???

You can try doing Repair Install;

1. Insert your OS Installation disk
2. Restart your computer and boot from CD
3. Choose your country from the dropdown box.
4. You will be given two options: Install and Repair; choose Repair
5. You will again be given list of options; Choose command prompt.
6. Enter chkdsk c: /f/r in the command prompt screen to check your drive for errors, Bad Sectors and corrupt files.
7. If there are errors on the hard drive, you can try to plug it into other device as a SLAVE, or Plug and Play
8. Double Click My Computer, then Right Click on the secondary Drive and then go to properties.
9. Go to TOOLS tab on the top of the properties window and then click on the radio button beside Error Checking or Defragmentation.
10. Click on CHECK now in the error checking section to open a window where you can click Automatically Fix File System Errors and Scan for and Attempt Recovery of Bad Sectors.

If the computer shows an error that it can’t load the operating system, first to check is the USB port. Make sure no USB flash drive is inserted on any USB port. If there is one connected, remove it then restart the computer.

On the other hand, if there is no USB flash drive but the machine can’t load the operating system, check if there is a disc inserted on your optical drive. If there is then remove it and then restart the computer. If the problem continues, reinstall Microsoft Windows using the USB flash drive.

First thing to do is to create an ISO file of your Windows setup CD or DVD. Download ImgBurn and install it. Once installed, insert your Windows setup CD or DVD on your optical drive then start ImgBurn. In ImgBurn, select “Create image file from disc” from the menu. In “Source”, select the drive where your Windows setup CD is inserted.

In “Destination”, navigate to the folder where you want to save the ISO file. In “Read Speed”, select the read speed you want. When you are ready, click the “Read” button to begin creating the ISO file. Once the ISO file is created, download Rufus. This program runs right out of the box and doesn’t need installation.

Next, insert the USB flash drive you want to use then start Rufus. In “Device”, select the drive for your USB flash drive. In “New volume label”, enter a name for your bootable USB flash drive. On the right of “Create a bootable disk using”, select “ISO Image” from the dropdown list then click the CD icon next to it and select the ISO file you created.

Click “Start” to begin creating the bootable USB flash drive. This may take some time to finish. When it is finished, close Rufus then download the modified NTDETECT.COM file and unpack it using WinRAR, WinZip, or 7-Zip. Once unpacked, copy it and replace the existing NTDETECT.COM file on your bootable USB flash drive. Note: the “NTDETECT.COM” file is required only for Windows XP.

Don’t download the file if you are installing Windows Vista, Windows 7, or higher.
