ERROR_INSTALL_REMOTE_PROHIBITED 1645 Windows Installer does not permit installation from a Remote Desktop Connection.

I was attempting to install SEP 11.0.5 but it abruptly stopped. This was the only output from the SEP_INST.log.

Symantec Mail Security for Domino is currently installed already, I’m not sure if that matters.

What do I do next?

Windows Installer does not permit installation from a Remote Desktop Connection

Hello Joseph,

From the error message that you are getting, it appears that you are installing from a remote desktop connection. You will therefore need to transfer the app to the computer that you want to install it onto and then run the setup from there. If you still get the error then probably the setup is corrupt.

Regards,

Nicke

Hi

I will help you solve your problem and install the app on pc. First of all, check that installation of apps through Remote Desktop is permitted or not. If it is not permitted, then it will prohibit any installation. If it is enabled, then you have to ask the remote user to install the app. Hope this helps you.
