Windows Media player launch error

Whenever I try to launch Windows Media player I get the error shown in the image below. I am running Windows 7.

Any ideas?

Windows Media player launch error

Hello Sandra, your problem looks like really annoying.

·         Method 1:

 

1.       Go to Start menu >> type “run” and press enter >> type “services.msc” and press enter.

2.       Navigate Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service, open it and click “Stop”.

3.       Close Windows Media Player.

4.       Open Windows Explorer and go to “%USERPROFILE%Local SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftMedia Player and move all files as a backup.

5.       Restart Windows Media Player and try to play the file again.

 

·         Method 2:

 

1.       Go to Start menu >> type “cmd.exe” >> right-click on it and select “Run as administrator”.

2.       In the console, enter the following command and press enter:

net localgroup "Administrators" "NT AuthorityLocal Service" /add

3.       Restart your PC.

This should obviously solve your issue.
