Usually I like to use windows media player. Today morning when I was clicking the icon on windows media player, nothing appeared. I have tried for several time’s. I do not understand why the problem comes up, and how to solve. Need anyone’s help to fix up the problem.
Windows media player is not running
The problem may arise due to some technical problems with your computer. There might be some Virus attacks with your computer, or may be a corrupt file occurred in the windows media player.
Firstly, try to right click on the player icon and then click open. If it works then try to update the player. Mostly it helps to solve the problem occurred.
Secondly, it is advised to put a full antivirus scan of your computer, and then uninstall the windows media player software completely and restart the computer, start installing windows media player from the start and when done, restart it and then use it.
Thanks.

It is possible that there is a problem in your system that’s why nothing happened even after clicking on the Windows Media Player’s icon. Try checking your system for possible virus infection. Update your antivirus then run a full system scan on your computer. Normally, when doing a full system scan on a computer the antivirus program excludes the System Volume Information folder from scanning.Â
This is the favorite hiding place and hibernation location of most Trojan viruses. Check with the antivirus program you are using if this folder is being excluded from scanning. If this is exempted from the scan, don’t forget to do a separate scan for this folder in all of your drives.
You may also try checking your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system.
