Windows Movie Maker error message

I wish to run my Windows Movie Maker on the other hand I do not identify how can I do this because of this error.

 

‘MovieMaker.Exe-System Error

 

The program can’t start because WLXPhotoBase.dll is missing from your computer.

 

Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem’

 

This is one of the answer which I found, but I could not figure out what is this about.

 

Can anyone help me in understanding this.

Windows Movie Maker error message

Please refer to the steps provided below:

• Uninstall Windows Live Essentials,please follow the steps from this link.
• Update Windows: http://www.update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx
• Locate C:Program Files and delete the Windows Live folder if found
• Restart the computer.
• Download and install Windows Movie Maker

Windows Movie Maker error message

Hi Pamela,

First try to run a virus scan on your whole computer to check whether the file was infected by a virus so that it can be restored back. If after running the scan it does not work still, run a registry cleaner to fix .dll file integrity by using a good software that I am familiar with which is called Ccleaner Piriform and download it from Piriform who are the publishers of the software. Clean all the registry files and restart the computer.

Should all these fail to work, find a person with a similar computer and operating system, then search for the .dll file in that computer and copy it into your computer. This has proved to work if you follow the above steps first.

Windows Movie Maker error message

Hi Pamela Opland,

To fix this problem you need to repair of reinstall your operating system.

Because Windows Movie Maker is in-built program or software and its files are available with the operating system package.

Please do repair your Operating System or reinstall it.

It would take at the max half an hour.

You need to have an operating system CD that you bought and might ask for key as well.

If you don't know how to install or repair please take help of an expert as it might cause you lose all your data and might be harmful for your hardware as well.
