Microsoft’s latest operating system for servers, Windows Server 2019 has a lot of new features. However, the new system analytics feature, System Insights, caught my eye. I know it is for analytics but I don’t quite understand how it works. Can you explain what is System Insights and how it works on the Windows Server 2019?
Windows Server 2019 System Insights
The much anticipated Windows Server 2019 is now finally available. One of the new and most exciting features of Windows Server 2019 is called System Insights. Professional is really excited about this feature because it brings analytics to the server itself.
Basically, System Insights is an analytics tool but the thing that makes it so exciting is that it does not require connection to the cloud and all the analysis is done locally. It performs predictive analysis on the usage data to find past trends in the usage and predict future resource consumption.
It does have an option to send updates to Microsoft Azure so as to get a unified view of the analytics. System Insights will help predict network usage, storage consumption, volume consumption, and CPU capacity consumption.
If you are a professional then getting all these analytics locally will be very exciting for you however for non-professional users, this could all mean nothing.
