This is one error message which I keep receiving whenever I try to setup Microsoft Encarta on my machine.
I am trying to install the application on my Windows XP SP 3 machine, and hidec.exe is not allowing me to do the same.
I try to download and it just makes 2 to 3 copies but not able to perform a successful copy on my machine.
Need Help .

Windows XP: Permission error on setting up Encarta

Dear NATHON,
This type of problem a system arises when these two conditions are satisfied. What  I mean is, you can check these two conditions in your PC then again, do the same job.
First of all this problem may arise because of the error in the setup file or it means that wherever you download that file of Encarta, make sure that the site is fully registered and  possessed a good quality software. Sometimes, we don’t know but there are some viruses attached with software or files which we are going to download, so use an authorized site first.

Windows XP: Permission error on setting up Encarta
Greetings,
I'm surprised you are still using Encarta.
Try to disable all your AV and Anti-Spyware software. The application you are using still may contain a file that is harmful to your computer, or your AV and Anti-Spyware software may see a file on the application as a threat even though it's not. AV and Anti-Spyware software might interfere with the proper installation of the application, and that is to redirect the path.
Another cause of the problem might be that the application you are installing is unauthorized by Microsoft, so make sure the application you are installing is compatible with the system you are using. Another possibility is that the application you are using may be altered or illegal.
Regards.
