Hi,

I was scanning my computer with an Avg Antivirus program and after the scan was finished, it results some corrupted files and deleted those files. When I restarted my PC, I encountered

ERROR_REGISTRY_CORRUPT 1015 (0x3F7)

A message appeared that said, “The Registry is corrupted. ”

I was really shocked that why the registry corruption error came. Then I guess that the possible cause is the deletion of the corrupted file by the Antivirus. Now I am looking for the solution. Can anyone have some ideas?

Dear Markony,

First of all, you will have to start Recovery Console  by creating a temporary folder. Save all the registry files to the new folder on the other location, and delete the existing folder of registry files. Then you will have to repair that new folder to the System32/Configure folder, when repairing would finished, a new registry would be created to use Windows XP, so that your initial setup of Windows XP could be save by that registry, that could finish off previous changes and settings.  After making recovery you can install your Windows XP again by make sure of doing Recovery during installation.

Hope this recovery your data and solve you problems as well.

Regards.

The cause of this problem, due to scanning the file using AVG Antivirus and most of your file was infected in virus that  is why must of your file is deleted. I using this kind of AVG version before and all of my file was deleted. That's why I to much worry of my file.

You know in this case, you are going to repair your windows so that all of file are missing will be restored.

NOTE:

Next time don’t used that kind of anti-virus must better you use NOD32 Antivirus.

If you are windows XP used NOD32>32bit for windows vista NOD32>64bit.

First solution you must try is, to restore to the previous last configuration that worked. You do this, by restarting the computer and pressing  F8, an option appears ; select the last known configuration that worked. The second solution  is, the recovery console method. This is where you repair Windows using the CD. Restart the computer ; press F8 and select the BIOS setup.  In BIOS setup, select it so that it boots from the CD.

Then select R to repair. When prompted for the password, insert the password and continue to follow the steps, by following the procedure that appears at command prompt.  Put the correct command to repair the problem. Enter the word "Exit" and click enter, to leave recovery console and restart the computer.
