Windwos 8 Display Missing Some Characters

I have installed Windwos 8 on my laptop and I'm facing a extremely sensitive problem. Some of the characters on the desktop's icons are missing. For example,

M  Compu er

How can I fix this error?

Is this a error caused by the CPU or the GPU? Should I reinstall Windows 8?

Windwos 8 Display Missing Some Characters

Actually, it can be that your computer and devices are not compatible the Windows 8 OS version that you have installed. So, first of all, verify this fact.

Also, some issues might have occurred during the Windows 8 installation process. So it is advisable to reinstalling it. 

Further more, if the issue still persists, you can try contacting Microsoft Windows customer support since this is a very rare issue.
