I have a cannon wireless printer that I connected to my new E1200 Linksys router. It says on the printer that it connected successfully and it is showing on my router's DHCP list that it is receiving a signal but I can't print on my printer. Everything appears to be okay but I can't print.
Is there something wrong with the printer?

Wireless printer not printing with the router.
Hi,
There might be something wrong with your printer, several cases are quite the same as you encountered. As you said network connections are okay. Better look at the manual about proper using of the printer. It might be forcedly disconnected improperly like power interruption. Try to reboot your pc and if problems persist, better consult it with your maintenance or technician.

Are you making sure that the printer you are using for printing is the right printer? Because if you are not using that printer for printing and using another one that has been listed in the printer dialog but it is not on the network then you will not be able to print. To be on the safe side, you will need to make that printer the default printer on your computer so that you do not go through the trouble of choosing which printer to use in the printer dialog box. Follow the procedure below:
-
On your computer click on start, and then click on devices and printers.
-
In the window that will open, select the printer from the listed devices and then right click on it.
-
And then choose the 'Make Default Printer' option.
