Hello, I have installed Windows Media Centre 2005 Edition on my computer.
But every time I try to play a wma file, the player doesn’t play that media file and tries to access the internet to download some sort of files that I am not familiar of showing a message “error code C00D10D1”.
However I can play other files in different formats (avi, mp4 etc.) but that particular format is not supported.
Does someone have any idea about this?

FIRSTLY-
the error code C00D10D1 is really a matter to worry about. Note that this error indicates that your computer may face a bad damage if this error is not solved as soon as possible.
Use these tools to fix your computer:

Install them individually. The first one updates the drivers that functions your system. The second one fixes C00D10d1 on your system.
In most cases, this happens due to spyware or virus, so it is suggested that you run a spyware removal tool and update your anti virus and then scan your system's hard drive.
Or take help from any IT Expert near your location.
Or you may just format your system and re-install your operating system and software's to be on the safe side. BACKUP Your IMPORTANT FILES before that of course.
THEN COME TO THE WMA MATTER
Windows Media Center 2005 Edition does support WMA format. It is likely to be your Media Center Extender which is not being able to support your WMA professional and/or WMA lossless formats.
However, if the error can be fixed – this problem will be easily solved.
Best of Luck with you
WMA format not playing in Windows Media Centre 2005
“WMA” stands for “Windows Media Audio”. It is a proprietary file format created by Microsoft to prevent licensing issues related with the MP3 format. The WMA format was created in 1999 and Microsoft designed it to fight MP3 and Apple’s AAC compression methods. Comparing WMA with MP3, WMA maintains a higher level of quality at a lower bitrate particularly when comparing bitrates lower than 64 kbps.
Since this is a Microsoft proprietary format, it easily opens under Windows using Windows Media Player. If you are using Microsoft Windows but you are having a hard time opening a file in this format, use the “Open with” option. Start Windows Explorer then navigate to the location of your WMA files. Right-click one of your WMA files then point to “Open with” and then select “Windows Media Player”.
Popular third-party media players like VLC media player supports playback of WMA files.
