I have four partitions on the hard drive of my computer. Whenever I try to open them with a double click.
They won't open. But When I right click on the partition and select open in the menu it would open.
Someone please tell what is the reason for this?
Won’t open by double click
Well the reason behind would be that your system is being heavily affected by viruses or maybe you are using a wrong partition and the best solution for you is to format the operating system and try to create a new partition using NTFS or FAT file system that will help you.
But before you do that please have a virus run on the complete file system just to see if you have any trouble caused by the viruses like (.exe), which disables operating system formatting as well and is really dangerous for the entire file system on your computer.

Won’t open by double click
In this case, the symptom occurs because when autorun.vbs is created by Trojan horse or virus. The virus normally loads autorun.inf file to root folder of all hard drives and then execute the autorun.bat file which contains scripts to apply and merge autorun.reg into the registry to possible change to the registry key to ensure that virus is loaded when the system starts.
Finally, autorun.bat will call wscript.exe to run autorun.vbs
To correct & solve this error follows these steps:
First solution
1) First, go to run, then write "regedit" that is registered.
Then, find "ctrl+f " . In this box write "Â mountpoints2Â " and " delete " it
Then, again press " ctrl+f " and again finds mountpoints2 until all these files are not deleted.
Then, you will see your problem is solved.
Second solution
2) First, Run task manager (right click on task bar)
Stop wscript.exe process if available highlighting the process and then end the process.
Then, terminate the explorer.exe process. In task manager, click on File-> New task(Run?).
Type cmd(without quotes) into the open text box and click ok.
Type the following command one by one followed by hitting "enter" key :Â
     del c:autorun.* /f /s /q /a
       del d:autorun.* /f /s /q /a
     del e:autorun.* /f /s /q /a
     del f:autorun.* /f /s /q /a
Each represents drive letters on windows system.
In task manager, click on the file > new task (run?)
Type regedit in the open text box and click ok.
Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinlogon
Check the value name and value data for the key is correct( the value data of userint.exe include the path which may be different than c drive which is also valid , note also the comma which is also needed.
Userinit=C:WINDOWSsystem 32userinit.exe
If the value is incorrect , modify it to the valid value data.
I hope your problem will be solved by either of this two way.
Thank you.

Oh! That one is a virus. This dilemma is commonly initiated by some of the viruses which can contaminate and infect your Windows system. They will block and restrict or limit your access and contacts to any of the drives. But do not you worry and be happy because this is not a huge problem or big trouble. You can do with your own to fix it. It is very easy to handle this. But this does not repair or to fix the primary virus by the way. However, how to fix it?
Oh, that’s another topic I guess?
Won’t open by double click
This issue is caused by an autorun virus. You cannot open the drive when you click on it, but you can do this through the Run option. If you want to open your Drive D:, simply type D: on the Run option and then press the Enter key. It will launch the Drive D: on your computer. If you want to permanently remove this error, just type the following commands in DOS mode:
D: (Or type any of the drive letters that you wish to launch)
attrib *.inf -r -s -h
del *.inf
attrib *.exe -r -s -h
del *.exe
attrib *.bat -r -s -h
del *.bat
Â
Run the following commands on each drive that you wish to launch and restart your computer.
